OSI-Panthera is a biological conservation project.

This project aims to be non-invasive.

The main aim of the program: “Long-term pilot study on a large predator and carried out in a participatory manner from the collection to the exploitation of the data.”

Educational and scientific objectives of the program:
- Contribute to the monitoring of snow leopard (Panthera uncia) populations and wildlife of Central Asia. Monitoring techniques and methods are non-invasive.
- Create and broaden a wildlife database in partnership with the reserves and local participants.
- Raise awareness among participants and the local population about threats to environmental protection and biodiversity through education and scientific outreach.
- Support participants and their work protecting nature in the countries in which we are invested.

Specific objectives of the research program:
1) Improve the understanding of the snow leopard’s biology (Panthera uncia) (behaviour, demographics, home range and territory, reproduction, feeding regime, etc.).
2) What are the environmental factors (topography, human influence, etc.) that affect these parameters?
